Labor MP flees after being confronted about crime and mass immigration

A federal Labor MP has refused to answer questions about Melbourne’s record-high crime rates after being asked about the issue and mass immigration at a public meeting.

Activist Matt Trihey and other members of nationalist community group the National Workers Alliance carrying Australian flags turned up in Narre Warren North on Saturday and spoke to local member for Bruce, Julian Hill.

Video obtained by Noticer News shows the Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs, and Multicultural Affairs being grilled by Mr Trihey before claiming he needed to get lunch and fleeing into a supermarket.

“This is the future of this country, crime rates are up, yeah? Sexual assaults,” Mr Trihey began.

“You don’t live in my electorate,” Mr Hill responded, to which other members of the group said they were locals.

“I have a family, so crime is up, sexual assault is up.” Mr Trihey continued, before Mr Hill said “Alright, all of that, I haven’t had lunch”, and started walking off as others in the background offered to pay for his lunch.

When Mr Trihey attempted to speak to him again, Mr Hill said “mate, you don’t even live here”.

“I live in this country, and you are destroying this country. The political class are destroying this country, and you are responsible. You are a coward,” Mr Trihey said as Mr Hill rushed into an IGA supermarket.

An NWA activist posted a video of the confrontation on X on Sunday with the caption: “Yesterday National Workers Alliance attended a public meeting with traitorous coward Julian Hill.

“Julian is the representative for Bruce which includes Dandenong. When questioned why Dandenong has a crime rate 8x the national average or sexual assault 3x the national average, he ran like the coward he is. We want answers.”

That video shows Mr Hill admitting that “migration post-Covid was too high”, but claimed it was “coming down now”, and Mr Trihey telling state Labor MP Belinda Wilson he wanted a policy of remigration.

Mr Trihey told Noticer News Ms Wilson also refused to answer questions, and instead responded by calling multiculturalism “wonderful” and claiming the official crime statistics were wrong.

According to the latest official data, sexual assaults in the immigrant-dominated Greater Dandenong local government area increased 35%, and non-aggravated robberies rose by 91%.

Mr Hill, who is homosexual, is an outspoken advocate for mass immigration and multiculturalism, and last month announced $41.6 million in grants for immigrant groups for community infrastructure.

Labor has brought in about 2.5 million immigrants into Australia since May 2022, for a total net overseas migration intake of 1.5 million, pushing up housing and rental crisis, exacerbating the cost-of-living crisis and damaging social cohesion.
