One Nation vows to scrap Victoria’s treaty and wants Dan Andrews in jail

One Nation has promised to scrap Victoria’s undemocratic treaty with aboriginal people while unveiling its policy platform for the upcoming state election at a event in Melbourne.

The right-wing populist party launched its campaign at the Crown Conference Centre in Southbank on Saturday, where party leader Pauline Hanson, state leader Warren Pickering, and candidate Mark Nicholson all made speeches.

Mr Nicholson, the co-creator of One Nation’s Please Explain cartoon series, introduced the party’s policies while saying “heads are going to roll”, and declaring that he wanted to see former Labor premiers Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan behind bars.

“This is a revolution. This is a movement, this is the real deal, and this is how together we can take Victoria back,” he said.

“If I had it my way, Dan Andrews, Jacinta Allan, they’ll be in prison by Christmas.”

He also promised to make Victoria the toughest state on crime and said One Nation would cut government spending.

“The Suburban Rail Loop? Gone. The $70 million-a-year treaty no one consented to? Gone,” he said.

Ms Hanson was given a standing ovation while taking the stage, and said in her speech that there were “no safe seats left in Australia” and took aim at the major parties.

“Red or blue it’s the same outcome: rising cost of living, mass migration, higher taxes, record levels of debt, a broken healthcare system, out of control crime, less freedom, schools that indoctrinate our kids instead of teaching them,” she said.

“Australians have had a gutful of the uniparty, they want change and real change.”

Victoria’s state election will be held on November 28, and according to the most recent polling One Nation is on track to win 20% of the primary vote, behind Labor on 25% and the Coalition on 30%.

The DemosAU and Premier National poll had the Greens winning 14% of the primary vote, and all other parties on a combined 11%.
