A member of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang is behind bars after allegedly playing a duck shooting sideshow game at a family carnival in Adelaide.
The 48-year-old father from Port Willunga was arrested on Friday for allegedly breaching his firearms prohibition order by participating in the game at the festival on July 26, and was refused police bail.
Video obtained by 7News allegedly shows the man loading an air rifle and firing it at pretend ducks at the festival while trying to win a prize for his five-year-old daughter.
South Australia Police allege that handling the air rifle was in breach of the man’s firearm prohibition order, a type of targeted personal gun ban which makes it illegal to acquire, possess or use a firearm, a firearm part, a sound moderator or ammunition.
“It will be alleged that a 48-year-old Port Willunga man attended a festival at Willunga on Sunday 26 July and participated in a duck shooting carnival sideshow, in breach of the conditions of his firearms prohibition order,” police said in a statement.
The man will face Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
The maximum penalty for a firearms prohibition order breach is 15 years’ imprisonment or a $75,000 fine.
