Horrific footage has emerged showing a panicked female cop shooting a bystander before fleeing from a gunman who had just killed her partner in Montreal, Canada.
Dozens of shots rang out in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood of Montreal at about 11.30am on Monday when a man dressed in camouflage and armed with a long gun opened fire, before he was shot dead himself.
The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) identified the deceased male officer as Constable Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, 34, while the dead civilian has been named as Michael Mizrahi, a member of the Jewish community.

The female officer, who has not been named, was injured but is in a stable condition, while the gunman was confirmed dead by police. According to Radio Canada he left a manifesto “representative of the incel movement”.
Footage of the shooting from multiple camera angles shared on social media shows the gunman rushing towards the two police officers and firing at them.
Constable Benredouane collapses to the ground and rolls behind a white convertible, while the female officer takes shelter behind a flower box.
She then appears to shoot Mr Mizrahi as he tries to hide next to her, and then runs for cover as the gunman charges towards her.
The man in camouflage fires at her, and then stops to reload before being gunned down himself.
Minister of Internal Security, Ian Lafrenière confirmed he was aware of the footage but declined to confirm that Mr Mizrahi had been shot by the female officer, saying an investigation was underway.
“That’s information that’s been circulating. For now, I’m going to let the Bureau of Independent Investigations shed light on this. Yes, there are images that have been circulating, I won’t deny that,” he said at a press conference.
“However, I’m going to stick to the facts; I’m really going to let the Bureau of Independent Investigations confirm it.”
