An alleged high-ranking member of the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang has been arrested for allegedly falsely claiming he served in the SASR alongside war hero Ben Roberts-Smith.
Detectives from an anti-bikie taskforce arrested Shaun Moffit, 41, in Peelwood on April 21, and charged him with falsely representing as a returning solder, sailor or airman.
He was granted police bail and appeared on Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday where he entered a not guilty plea, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Police allege Moffitt has an Special Air Service Regiment tattoo on his left forearm and told people he had been in the SASR along with Roberts-Smith.
Strike Force Benson detectives contacted the ADF to verify the claims, and allege they were told he had no record of service with any branch of the Defence Force.
Police allege Moffit is the sergeant-at-arms of the Hells Angels’ South chapter and that the alleged offending took place over a period of eight month, 9News reported.
Moffit remains on bail and will face court again in June.
He faces a maximum six months’ jail if convicted.
