Australian PM blasted for ‘diversity is strength’ post after mosque heckling

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been heavily criticised for declaring “diversity is our strength” a day after he was booed and abused by Muslims at a mosque in an Islamic enclave in Sydney.

Mr Albanese shared a photo on X of himself with a group of people he described as his “diverse team”, which included lesbian Asian foreign minister Penny Wong in white sneakers with a pantsuit, Egyptian Muslim immigrant MP Anne Aly, and Sydney MP Ashvini “Ash” Ambihaipahar in an ethnic costume.

“Australia’s diversity is our strength. And I’m proud our team is as diverse as the communities we represent. Different backgrounds, different perspectives, all making us a better government,” he wrote.

“On the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we’re committed to making sure every Australian feels safe and respected. No matter what language you speak, or what faith you practice.”

The post came just a day after Mr Albanese was rushed out of Sydney’s Lakemba mosque as Muslim men hurled abuse at him, accusing him of being a “genocide supporter” and calling him a “putrid dog”.

Everyday Aussies reacted to the post by pointing out the downsides of “diversity”, including rampant immigrant crime, the Bondi Islamic terrorist attack, falling living standards, and the mosque heckling.

“If diversity is our strength, why would deporting all these people lead to a decade of plus-2 percent productivity growth?” wrote Burchell Wilson, former Chief Economist at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“Yeah, you really looked like you felt safe and respected yesterday amongst your ‘diversity’,” wrote political commentator Kobie Thatcher.

“The Australian Prime Minister was hounded out of a mosque and almost lynched by a mob of screaming jihadists shouting ‘ALLAHU AKBAR’ less than 24 hours ago … and he’s already back to ‘Diversity is our strength’ posting,” wrote activist Drew Pavlou.

“Pretty racist showing how diverse the worst government in recent history is. If there wasn’t a case for ending DEI, you just made one,” wrote popular X account Retard Finder.

“Diversity is getting our women sexually assaulted at the highest rate in 32 years,” wrote another Aussie.

“The world just saw you almost get physically attacked by your diversity, you virtue signalling fool,” wrote British political commentator Nick Dixon.

Many others posted photos of the Bondi massacre, Mr Albanese looking intimidated at the mosque, and examples of horrific crimes perpetrated by immigrants.

In a separate post, former federal Labor leader turned independent NSW MP Mark Latham responded to the mosque incident by coming to the opposite conclusion as Mr Albanese.

“When the Australian Prime Minister is abused by both the Jews in Bondi and the Muslims in Lakemba over a conflict on the other side of the world that has NOTHING to do with us, you can see how comprehensively Australian multiculturalism has FAILED,” he wrote.
