Fury at ‘low-life’ who kicked dog for barking at him in Bunnings carpark

A man has been caught on camera kicking a dog sitting in the back of a ute at a Bunnings carpark in Adelaide, leaving the dog’s owners and witnesses horrified.

Video shows the man kicking the dog multiple times in the head as it sat in the ute tray outside the store in Parafield just after 4pm on Sunday.

The owner shared the footage on social media in the hopes of finding the attack, who he described as “scum”.

“This low-life stranger has come up to my dog and booted her in the head twice who is already a rescue dog who was traumatized as a puppy.I now understand why my dog was skittish when we got home and she now has a sore eye,” he wrote.

He said he had tried to report the attack to South Australia Police only for a senior constable to refuse to let him file a report and tell him it was a council issue. He then contacted council, and went back to the police station where a “nicer” officer let him make the report.

An upset witness told 7News she saw the incident unfold after the dog barked at the man, calling it “absolutely disgusting” and unnecessary.

“There was ways around it, he didn’t have to walk next to the car, he could have walked around it, the dog simply barked at him, which any dog would potentially do, so he was absolutely disgusting to be able to kick such an innocent animal,” she said.

The man appeared to have been driving an orange or red Isuzu Dmax ute.
