Labor leaders slammed for celebrating Diwali: ‘Nothing to do with Australians’

Irritated Aussies have unleashed at uniparty politicians including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan for celebrating the foreign festival of “Diwali”.

Mr Albanese, who is in Washington DC to meet President Donald Trump for the first time after returning from a secret holiday in Palau, shared a video on Monday wishing Hindus a “very happy Diwali”.

Ms Allan painted a dot on her head while making a speech telling Indians that “my government stands with you” amid a rise in anti-immigration sentiment and repeated polls showing Australians want fewer migrants.

“The past few weeks haven’t been easy. You’ve had to listen to things that have been said about you, about migration, about multiculturalism,” she said.

“You’ve been made to defend who you are and the contribution you make, when you should never have been put in that position. Because here in Victoria we don’t measure people by where they come from, value them for what they bring.”

But hundreds of fed-up Australians blasted the pair and the dozens of other senators and MPs from the Labor and Liberal parties who made posts pandering to Indians.

“We agree with you Jacinta, they shouldn’t have been put in that position,” leading Anglo-Celtic advocacy group the British Australian Community responded.

“Both sides of government have ignored Australians for decades, and pushed ahead with mass indiscriminate immigration. They are here, because you and your predecessors have betrayed the Australian people.”

“Beautiful message, Jacinta. Maybe use some of that ‘light’ to illuminate the 000 response times… And those random CBD stabbings?” suggested another.

Popular political commentator Mickamious responded to Mr Albanese’s post by saying: “WTF is Diwali?! How the hell is this even relevant to Australians?? See what happens when foreign cultures exceed 2.5% of your population?

“Their cultures become engrained into our society under ‘multiculturalism’.”

Another simply wrote: “What is Diwali? It’s got nothing to do with Australians.”

Others asked the Prime Minister to comment on the far-left extremist violence that erupted on the streets of Melbourne on Sunday.

“Care to comment on the left wing domestic terrorist violence currently destroying the fabric of our society?” wrote on Aussie.

“And we have a Prime Minister that supports left wing extremists and their policies, even the police know they are violent agitators which Trump recently designated them a terrorist organisation in America,” said another.

The Hindu Council of Australia has been calling for Diwali to be made a public holiday in Australia, with president Sai Paravastu saying last year it would give the more than 97% of Australians who are not Hindu “a chance to understand us more”.
