An Afghan man has been charged with murdering his wife after she was found critically injured inside their Perth home.
Paramedics were called to the house in St James at about 8.30pm on Wednesday where they found Kah Ming Tan, 28, unresponsive and suffering from extensive injuries.
They contacted police and rushed Ms Tan to hospital but she was unable to be saved.
Her husband, Younis Qambari, 38, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday in a blue forensic jumpsuit, where he confirmed the charge against him but did not apply for bail.
Police allege Ms Tan was assaulted in the days leading up to her death, and confirmed they had been called to the property on multiple occasions in the past, 10 News reported.
Ms Tan’s three children were inside the home when she was found by paramedics, and will now be cared for by her twin sister, who lives next door.
Qambari will face court again in September.
