Far-left Somalian US congresswoman Ilhan Omar has become a global laughing stock over a resurfaced clip where she pronounced World War II as “World War Eleven”.
Omar, a Muslim immigrant from Somalia with a history of antiwhite and anti-American remarks, make the gaffe in January 2025 while complaining about President Donald Trump invoking a 1798 act to deport illegal immigrant gang members.
“The last time the Alien Enemies Act was invoked, it was used to detain and deport German, Japanese, Italian immigrants during World War Eleven,” Omar said, before correcting herself and saying “oh, two, sorry”.
The clip went viral on X, where many Americans joked she may have attended a notorious Somalian childcare centre named the “Learing Centre”, and others said she should be immediately removed from office, and pointed out she had previously called Trump voters stupid.

“Our founding fathers never even considered the possibility that illiterate third world women would one day be shipped into this country and then elected to congress. We are discovering a method of national suicide that never entered the minds of the founders,” wrote commentator Matt Walsh.
“Consider the astronomical levels of stupidity on display here. Ilhan Omar doesn’t know how to read Roman numerals AND she thinks there have been 11 world wars. Either one of those would be reasonable justification to remove her from office and send her back to Somalia. But both? My God.”

“Ilhan Omar referred to World War II as “World War Eleven.” I can’t believe this dummy is in Congress. DEPORT this Somali already,” wrote popular meme account Libs of TikTok.
“Everyone give her some slack shes the queen of the Learing Center,” wrote independent journalist Nick Shirley, who first exposed widespread Somalian immigrant childcare fraud in Omar’s home state of Minnesota.
A report published in December last year found that 81% of Somali-headed households in use at least one major welfare program, a figure that rises to 89% among Somali immigrant households with children.
Omar, 43, came to the US as a refugee and now advocates for open borders and the defunding of police, defended the murder of Charlie Kirk, downplayed 9/11 as “some people did something”, and supports Palestinian LGBT rights.
