Six males have been charged after an ex-Mongols bikie boss’s son was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by a gang of machete-wielding African thugs in Melbourne.

Patrick Longordo, 30, whose father Joseph was once a chapter president of the outlaw motorcycle gang, was found dead in a park on May 15 after allegedly being assaulted and abducted from his South Morang home.

Police allege Mr Longordo was dragged outside at 3am and forced into a dark-coloured Mazda SUV, which was later found set alight on Mt Mary Road in Eynesbury, and his body was located near Bruny Drive in Tarneit at about 4.30am.

Victoria Police said on Wednesday night they executed eight search warrants in Wyndham Vale, Point Cook, Mambourin, Werribee and Tarneit shortly after 8am, and arrested four 17-year-old males and one 18-year-old man.

Special Operations Group officers also arrested a 23-year-old man at his home in Truganina.

He and the four 17-year-olds were charged with murder, kidnapping, aggravated home invasion and criminal damage by fire, and the 18-year-old, from Point Cook, was charged with assist offender and criminal damage by fire.

Video of one of the arrests shows a male of African appearance being ushered into a police car in handcuffs by police officers.

Both of the adult males were remanded in custody to appear at Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning, and the minors will appear at a children’s court.

Mr Longordo’s death sparked an outpouring of grief from family and friends, who denied he had any links to bikies.
