Seven foreign nationals have been arrested overseas in connection with an Australian police operation which targeted an alleged satanic paedophile ring based in Sydney.
The arrests in Uruguay, England, Poland, Mexico and the United States were made after NSW Police detectives from Strike Force Constantine and Strike Force Trawler referred information to international law enforcement partners.
Strike Force Constantine investigates the online distribution of child sexual abuse material involving ritualistic or satanic themes, and between November and February arrested six men over the alleged paedophile network.
The alleged ringleader, far-left homosexual aboriginal journalist Landon Ashton Versace Germanotta-Mills, 27, was hit with 20 new charges last month, and police said earlier this year investigators had identified another 145 alleged offenders overseas.
On Tuesday NSW Police released details of seven of the overseas arrests, all of which took place in July and August, and said investigations under both strike forces were continuing.
In the UK, two men are in custody charged with child abuse offences after one allegedly purported to be a woman and distributed child abuse online, while the other allegedly sexually assaulted a child known to him.
Another two men were arrested in the US state of Missouri. The first, a 23-year-old man, has been charged and is in custody after allegedly administrating a chat linked to a paedophile ring which was producing and distributing extreme child abuse material online.
The other allegedly posted images and videos of child abuse to an online paedophile ring, leading to the arrest of a man and a three-year-old child being placed into child protection.
The man is in custody and is expected to be charged with offences relating to alleged child sexual abuse and child abuse material.
In Uruguay, a man was arrested for allegedly producing and distributing child abuse material online, was charged with child abuse offences, and remains in custody.
In Poland a 36-year-old man was charged with child abuse offences and remain in custody after allegedly distributing child abuse material online.
In Mexico, NSW Police detectives urgently referred information that a man intended to travel to the United States to allegedly sexually abuse a child known to him.
He was arrested at the Mexican border, where he was allegedly found in possession of child abuse material. He has since been charged with child abuse offences and remains in custody.
Germanotta-Mills was arrested in Sydney by Strike Force Constantine in November and charged with a raft of child abuse material, bestiality material and drug offences. He was granted bail in April but rearrested days later.
A former Network 10 intern, Germanotta-Mills describes himself as a “Wiradjuri investigative journalist” and before his arrest regularly posted far-left extremist content on social media, including demands for Australia Day to be abolished, promotion of Black Lives Matter, and articles attacking neo-Nazis.
He also made multiple posts calling himself gay and celebrating homosexuality and “transgenderism”.
Germanotta-Mills and his co-accused are yet to enter pleas to the charges, which relate to material described by police as “among the most extreme we have seen” and which allegedly involved baby victims, the “use of satanic iconography”, and torture.
The last to be arrested was HIV-positive homosexual Colin Milne, 62, in February, two weeks after former Rotary award-winning NSW Police officer David Charles Turner, 42, was taken into custody.
Benjamin Raymond Drysdale, 46, swim coach Mark Andrew Sendecky, 42, and Stuart Woods Riches, 39, were at a Community Offender Support Program which backs onto Long Bay jail. It accommodates men, including convicted paedophiles, after their release from prison.
