A young driver has miraculously walked out of a horror crash practically unscathed after wrapping his car around a tree in Adelaide.
South Australia Police said the 21-year-old man was “incredibly fortunate” to avoid being seriously injured in the crash at Chandlers Hill on Tuesday morning.
Photos show the man’s silver Mitsubishi sedan crumpled up from the impact of the collision with the tree, which took place shortly after 7am.
Fire crews and SA Ambulance freed the man, who was the only person inside the vehicle, from the wreckage after rushing to the scene following reports of a single-car collision.
The driver, from Seaford Heights, was taken to hospital suffering only minor injuries, while traffic restrictions remained in place for several hours due to the car blocking the road and the fallen tree.
Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
