A young aboriginal man has been jailed for stealing two sex dolls from an adult store in Darwin and having intercourse with them in a grassy area nearby.
Leon Thompson, 18, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, two of damaging property, two of theft and one count of breaching bail over the thefts of the dolls from Sexyland in Stuart Park in February and April.
He was sentenced in Darwin Local Court to four months’ imprisonment, suspended after one month, by Judge Stephen Geary, who also banned him from the sex shop for 12 months, NT News reported.

Thompson first broke into Sexyland on February 9, tore a doll out of its box, had sex with it, and was caught, charged and granted bail, the court heard.
But two months later he returned to the same store and stole a doll named Erica worth $1,500, took it to the grassland, and dumped it in a vacant lot when he was finished.
Judge Geary told Thompson in sentencing “this offending seems to be to satisfy your lusts” and noted “I think they got Erica back but I don’t think she was in the condition she was (in originally)”.
“The photographs there tell me Erica suffered a similar fate to the earlier doll,” he said, referring to images of the crime scene shown to the court.
Thompson, from Bagot, sat quietly in court during the hearing, and said “yes, Sir” when Judge Geary asked if he understood he was not to go back to Sexyland for a year.
