One of Sydney’s notorious Skaf gang rapists has been charged over a major alleged drug ring operating in an Islamic immigrant-dominated suburb in the city’s southwest.
Mohammed Skaf, 42, who was one among group of Lebanese Muslim men led by his brother Bilal who gang raped several young White Australian women and teenage girls in a series of racially charged attacks across the city in 2000, was arrested on Wednesday night.
Skaf was released in 2021 after spending 21 years in prison for his horrific crimes, and his parole ended in 2024.

NSW Police arrested Skaf on Juno Parade in Greenacre at about 11.30pm, and allegedly seized $25,000 cash and 140g of cocaine. They then searched a home in the same suburb and allegedly seized $220,000 cash, 68g of cocaine, 10g of MDMA, a vehicle and several mobile phones.
Another search warrant was executed at a unit in Bankstown, where 51-yearold Ahmed Warwar was arrested and a ballistic vest, a baton and steroids were allegedly seized.
At the same time police raided a unit in Newington, arresting a woman, Winter Egitmeglu, 54, and allegedly seizing ketamine and MDMA.
Skaf was charged with 24 offences including commercial drug supply and directing the activities of a criminal group, Warwar was charged with drug supply and weapons offences, and Egitmeglu was also charged with drug supply.
All three were refused police bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court on Thursday.
Skaf was 17 when he and brother Bilal committed the savage gang rapes with Belal Hajeid, Mohammed and Mahmoud Sanoussi, Mahmoud Chani, Tayyab Sheikh and Mohammed Ghanem, as well as at least one other individual not identified by the court as he was deemed intellectually disabled.
Another five suspects have never been brought to justice.
One teenage victim was called an “Aussie pig” before all 14 men gang-raped her 25 times over six hours. Another 16-year-old girl described the gang telling her: “You deserve it because you’re an Australian.”
