A shirtless African man has been arrested in Melbourne after allegedly stabbing his cousin and sister and ramming a home with a stolen car in a terrifying cross-city rampage.

The 27-year-old was arrested in Epping on Tuesday morning after almost two days on the run following the alleged stabbing of a 40-year-old man at a property on Bradman Terrace in the same suburb at 7.30am on Sunday.

He then allegedly travelled across the city to Dandenong North and deliberately drove a silver Honda CRV wagon into his sister and mother’s home on Exner Street at about 10.15am.

Victoria Police allege he then got out of the car and stabbed his 34-year-old sister. Both alleged victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The alleged offender’s mother witnessed the alleged attack and was seen being consoled by neighbours at the scene, 9News reported.

The man has now been charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of intentionally cause serious injury, and reckless conduct endanger serious injury, and faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday evening for a remand application.
