Victoria promoting ‘transgenderism’ to 12-year-olds in country towns: ‘Grooming kids’

The Victorian government is promoting homosexuality and transgenderism to children as young as 12 in rural and regional areas, leaving locals furious.

Moira Shire Council in the state’s north is holding a LGBTIQA+ Youth Ball in Greater Shepparton on August 30 for “Wear it Purple Day”, which is advertised to those aged 12 to 25 and sponsored by far-left pro-homosexuality charities and government bodies including Victoria Police.

Promotion material includes “transgender” and rainbow flags along with images of an unshaven man dressed as a woman with blue hair and high heels, and notes that under-18s require parent or guardian consent to attend.

But one upset local resident, who did not want to be named for fear of being targeted by violent left-wing extremists, told Noticer News it was a case of “council grooming school kids”.

They also said there had been “mass resignations from local public schools” due to the level of LGBT “indoctrination” taking place under Jacinta Allan’s Labor government.

Mitchell Shire Council north of Melbourne is also running Wear it Purple events for minors aged 12 to 18 at youth centres in three towns, and their promotional material includes aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and homosexual flags, but no Australian flag.

A social media user replied to a post about the events with an Australian flag gif and wrote “you forgot this”, but Mitchell Youth Services responded by implying the national flag was not “inclusive”.

“Mitchell Youth Services aim to promote inclusivity and equity for hard to reach groups in our service delivery and highlight that our programs, events and services are safe spaces for First Nations and LGBTIQA+ communities,” they wrote.

“Wear it Purple day is an annual LGBTIQA+ awareness day especially for young people. As we work with young people, we celebrate this day with rainbow young people and allies together.

“This approach aligns with our Health & Wellbeing Plan 2021-25 Goal 14. Lead in addressing equity and fighting discrimination of all kinds.”

A local resident told Noticer News the response was “disgusting” and “offensive”.

The events comes after it was revealed that Victorian children as young as five are being taught radical gender ideology in schools as part of the state’s new Respectful Relationships syllabus.

The Labor government has also imposed the Safe Schools program – which “helps schools foster a safe environment that is supportive and inclusive of LGBTIQA+ students”  – and the Rainbow Libraries program.

Rainbow Libraries encourages five-year-olds to state their pronouns and was launched by the state’s first “openly lesbian” Member of Parliament, Harriet Shing.
