Federal authorities have identified lesbian car attacker Renee Good as being part of an “ICE Watch” group that trains activists to resist immigration raids.
A 37-year-old woman with deep ties to an anti-ICE activist network died Wednesday after a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot her during an enforcement operation in south Minneapolis.
Renee Nicole Good veered her SUV toward agents, prompting defensive gunfire, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Good, a stay-at-home mother who had moved to Minneapolis the previous year, reportedly participated in “ICE Watch,” a coalition dedicated to monitoring and disrupting ICE activities in the sanctuary city.
Sources told the New York Post that Good connected with the group through Southside Family Charter School, where she enrolled her 6-year-old son.
The K-5 school has prioritised social justice education since its founding in 1972.
“She was a warrior. She died doing what was right,” a mother named Leesa, whose child attends the same school, told The Post at a vigil near the shooting site.
“I know she was doing the right thing. I watched the video plenty of times but I also know in my heart the woman she was, she was doing everything right.”
Leesa described the training Good received.
“[Renee Good] was trained against these ICE agents – what to do, what not to do, it’s a very thorough training. To listen to commands, to know your rights, to whistle when you see an ICE agent.”
Good and her “wife”, Rebecca, 40, raised the boy in a south Minneapolis neighbourhood known for progressive activism.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called the shooting self-defence. She said Good and others had stalked and harassed agents that day.
Rebecca Good, confronting agents outside the vehicle, cried on video: “I made her come down here, it’s my fault. They shot her in the head. I have a 6-year-old in school.”
The incident occurred amid a reported 3,200% surge in vehicular attacks on ICE agents, with 66 recorded from Jan. 21, 2025, to Jan. 7, 2026, compared to two the prior year.
