Parramatta Council in Sydney has refused to let a group of White Australians hire one of its venues for a political meeting, citing far-left policies on “diversity”, “inclusion”, and “social justice”.
Political organisation White Australia’s NSW leader Jack Eltis applied to hire the heritage-listed and newly renovated Parramatta Town Hall for an event in early September, but Mr Eltis had his request denied and was told his proposed gathering “conflicted with the Council’s guiding principles”.
In recent months the Town Hall has been hired out to the Labor Party, the Greens, an Indian group, a Chinese religious group, an African group, a Filipino group, and a refugee advocate group, but Council said the White Australia event was not “consistent with the diverse needs and interests of our community”.
“We anticipate your proposed political gathering would undermine, as well as, put in peril, the ‘peaceful cohesion’ that is a community need and interest of residents of the Parramatta Local Government Area,” the City of Parramatta Executive Director of Community and Culture told Mr Eltis.
“It is our view that the proposed political gathering would infringe on many aspects of social justice principles, as your political gathering seeks to marginalise and condemn residents of the Parramatta Local Government area who do not meet your definition of a ‘White Australian’.”

Mr Eltis told Noticer News it was disgraceful that the council was refusing to hire out the Town Hall to the descendants of the men who built it while allowing it to be freely used by immigrant groups.
“Parramatta Council is a treasonous institution that is intentionally excluding White Australians from politically organising and accessing a beautiful heritage building that was built by White Australians hundreds of years ago,” he said.
“This building was constructed by our ancestors, the men who founded this nation. Parramatta Council is openly acting with hostility and a clear antiwhite agenda.”
City of Parramatta Council told Noticer News the decision to refuse the hire application was “consistent with a strategic pillar” in its Community Strategic Plan (2025-50) called “We all belong – A diverse, creative, inclusive and inspiring City”.
The plan includes a number of “strategic actions”, including to “recognise our diversity as our strength, and ensure people of all abilities, genders, family types, backgrounds and generations can feel that they belong”.
According to the 2021 Census, the City of Parramatta Local Government Area was just 42.4% Australian-born, with 69% of the population having both parents born overseas, and 38.2% speaking only English at home. The largest ancestry group was Chinese on 22.3%.
