An angry mob have been caught on camera abusing and appearing to spit on police officers who were arresting an aboriginal woman in Western Australia.
The chaotic scenes unfolded in the town of Karratha on Monday when police responded to reports of an alleged fight at a home and arrested a woman for allegedly breaching her bail conditions.
Footage filmed by bystanders and posted online shows an indigenous woman appearing to spit at officers as they pulled the other aboriginal female from a silver 4WD and others screamed abuse.

Another clip shows officers trip and fall while trying to force the squirming woman into a paddy wagon before more police arrived on the scene and fended off the crowd, with one officer drawing pepper spray.
Western Australia Police told the National Indigenous Times officers were called to a residence in Millars Well at about 10.30am on June 2 after an alleged altercation between two people known to each other.
“A 25-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly breaching her bail conditions by being at the residence. It will be alleged as the woman was being arrested, she obstructed police, locking herself in a vehicle,” a police spokesperson said.
“The woman was not injured during the arrest and no medical assistance was required.”
The woman was charged with “Obstructing Public Officers Common Assault in Circumstances of Aggravation or Racial Aggravation”, police said.
She will appear in Karratha Magistrates Court on July 29.
