Five more men have been charged with murder in Sydney over the horrific alleged kidnapping and killing of a Vietnamese mother-of-two whose husband worked for an Asian organised crime gang.
The body of Thi Kim Tran, 45, was found in a burned out car after she was allegedly abducted from her home in Bankstown in front of her two boys, stripped naked, assaulted and shot dead on April 17.
Her eight-year-son suffered serious head injuries after allegedly being bashed with a baseball bat during the kidnapping, and spent days in a coma. His older brother, 15, was not physically hurt but police said he suffered psychological injuries from viewing the alleged attack.
Four people were charged over Ms Tran’s death last year, and NSW Police said on Friday five more men had been arrested and charged between December and March.
