New ‘diversity bollards’ installed in Sydney: ‘Most successful multicultural nation’

Dozens of new concrete bollards are being installed in the centre of Sydney to stop Muslim terrorist car attacks in the wake of the Bondi massacre.

A photo shared by Anglo-Celtic advocacy group the British Australian Community on X shows the stone blocks, nicknamed “diversity bollards” or “bollards of peace”, being delivered to Martin Place, which was the scene of another Islamic terror attack in 2014.

“Nothing says ‘most successful multicultural nation’ quite like a fresh delivery of bollards at Christmas time,” the BAC wrote in the caption, echoing a statement made by former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull after the massacre.

The post sparked anger from Australians, with many saying they would rather get rid of multiculturalism than have to block off public spaces with bollards.

“Ah, diversity bollards,” Campion College lecturer Dr Stephen Chavura wrote in response.

“The Christmas Bollards of Peace,” said another.

“God I remember hearing the ‘most successful multicultural nation in the world’ line so much as a kid and actually believing it,” said a third X user.

Others pointed out that bollards were not needed before Australia started accepting millions of immigrants from Islamic countries, and called for an end to mass migration.

“We need to go back to simpler times. Lock down our borders, extend visas only to legitimate holiday travellers. Grant citizenship only to other westerners. We don’t have to keep living like this,” said one.

“We didn’t need these in the 70s, 80s and even the 90s. Probably because we weren’t flooded with the religion of peace,” said a second.

“According to Albo we need them for the far right,” joked another, referring to the Prime Minister becoming a global laughing stock for repeatedly deflecting to “right-wing extremism” when asked about the Bondi attack.

Both Mr Albanese and NSW Premier Chris Minns have directed attention away from immigration and multiculturalism by focusing on gun laws and cracking down on anti-Semitism following the massacre, where Indian immigrant Sajid Akram and his son Naveed killed 15 people at a Jewish event.
