Headline: Amid Palisades fire, Los Angeles’ first LGBTQ+ fire chief is proving lesbians get it done
Summary: Los Angeles is burning, with about 10,000 homes razed, 10 dead, and billions in damage caused, so far. But what the corporate media really wants to put the dampener on is criticism of the city’s lesbian fire chief, Kristin Crowley.
After being made Los Angeles Fire Department Chief by left-wing former Mayor Eric Garcetti in 2022, Crowley set about launching a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) bureau, declared that DEI was her “top priority” because there were too many White male firefighters, and marched in a gay pride parade.
Clearly she should have been focusing on protecting the city from fires instead, but not according to the legacy media, which thinks that women, homosexuals, and non-Whites are above any criticism at all.
Pride.com, a homosexual propaganda outlet masquerading as a news site, came out with the above headline in response to James Woods saying the obvious – that Crowley should have been refilling reservoirs instead of promoting diversity – but when you read their article they don’t actually explain how Crowley is “proving lesbians get it done”.
Of course they don’t, because they can’t. There is no defence. Fire hydrants are empty and LA is burning in the middle of winter, which just shouldn’t happen.
Major UK news site the Independent also rushed to Crowley’s defence, saying that a Newsmax host who criticised Crowley was “just the latest example of right-wing media using the disaster in Los Angeles to suggest that liberals’ push to initiate diversity, equity and inclusion policies in the workplace has resulted in deadly consequences”.
But just like Pride.com, the left-wing site couldn’t come up with a single defence of Crowley, other than to spruik her decades of experience and top marks in a firefighter exam in the 1990s, and parrot claims from officials that the water shortages were due to high demand rather than the reservoirs not being filled.
Whether that is true or not does not exonerate Crowley, as her department has clearly failed in its duty to protect lives and property, and its perfectly reasonable to say that more resources should have been committed to that rather than trying to hire more diverse firefighters.
It’s shameful, but it’s straight out of the corporate press playbook: If right-wingers criticise anyone who is not a straight White male, you attack them for bigotry instead of addressing any of their claims, and twist the facts to make their critics look like they are lying.
But this is sheer desperation on their behalf – their viewership is dwindling and people are sick of lesbians sinking navy ships and discriminating against White people when they should have been making sure a city didn’t go up in flames.
