The increasingly woke Australian Defence Force is allowing recruits who claim to be “transgender” or “non-binary” to take fitness tests based on their “affirmed gender” rather than their biological sex.
The radical leftist gender guidelines are laid out in ADF documents obtained under Freedom of Information by The Daily Telegraph, which also reveal defence personnel who claim to be “transgender” can participate in ADF sport in their chosen gender, and warn commanders not to offend homosexual members.
The documents further state that “transgender” and “non-binary” ADF members may be prevented from deployment and participation in joint exercises commanded by allied forces, and are barred from the AUKUS nuclear submarine program due to the US military’s anti-DEI policies.
The Defence Inclusion Guidance: Gender Diverse People report states that “transgender” applicants “are to attempt the Pre-entry Fitness Assessment aligned with their affirmed gender”, and those who claim to be changing sex can “attempt the assessment aligned with the gender to which they are transitioning”.
“If they have not yet transitioned, but intend to do so, the applicant may make a choice, but those transitioning to male are to be advised that they will be required to pass the male assessment standards,” the documents state.
“In the absence of a non-gender-specific test, non-binary applicants may make a choice that is best aligned with service and job preference. ADF members are to adhere to the physical fitness standards of their affirmed gender.”
A Director of Military Recruiting shows that commanders ordered to address “negative behaviour, destructive gossip and deliberate attempts to isolate or make gender diverse employee uncomfortable”.
“This includes commentary around bathroom use or the intentional or ongoing misgendering using incorrect names/personal pronouns,” the documents state.
The revelations come after ADF personnel marched in uniform in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras earlier this year, and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese appointed as Lieutenant General Susan Coyle, who has delivered far-left aboriginal land acknowledgments before speeches, as the first female Chief of Army.
The ADF regularly celebrates pro-LGBT initiatives and promotes “transgender” personnel, and last month announced it was holding its second annual “queer short film” festival in naval bases across the country for “International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia”.
