ABC complains company boards have too many White people

MEDIA SHAME FILE

Outlet: ABC News

Headline: Boards make decisions affecting the nation but they don’t look like Australia

Summary: Australia’s taxpayer-funded national broadcaster has come out with a heavily biased article by Daniel Ziffer (he/him in his LinkedIn bio, grandparents “survived the holocaust”), complaining that corporate boards are too White.

The article has no balance at all, and is just the kind of blatant exercise in trying to tell readers what to think that we see all too often at the ABC, which is supposed to be unbiased. In this case, it’s that boards “don’t look anything like modern Australia”, and “people want that to change”.

Modern Australia is the new left-wing political and media elite codeword for “our Australia” – inner city Melbourne and Sydney where straight White males are few and far between and know their place, where everyone else is “transgender”, a “person of colour”, “indigenous”, female, disabled and/or mentally ill.

“People want that to change” is an interesting phrase to put in a news article. It’s not “some people”, it’s “people”, implying “all people”. Ziffer just expects you to believe this, and then presents a cherrypicked handful of leftist people to tell you this in their own words, with no opposing views to balance them out.

We have Melissa Sina Applin, a tattooed woman who got a seat on the Australian Museum’s board because of NSW government quotas, Kath Hall, of far-left corporate advocacy group Just Governance (check out their website for a laugh), former drug addict and convicted criminal Tahlia Isaac who thinks it’s unfair she isn’t being placed on the board of a major company for her “lived experience”, and tattooed aboriginal woman Irene Stanley who also wants her “lived experience” to catapult her onto corporate boards.

Kath Hall tells Ziffer that even though DEI policies have succeeded in getting women into 37.5% of seats on ASX 300 company boards, this is bad, actually, because most of them are White.

She says:

“We’ve basically replaced professional white men with professional white women in the later stages of their careers.

“Less than seven per cent of directors on those boards come from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds. That means 93 per cent of directors on boards come from Anglo-Australian backgrounds. And that’s crazy when we consider that over 51 per cent of Australians are either born overseas or have one parent born overseas.”

Note the implication that 51% of Australians are non-White, when in fact until recently the biggest immigrant groups were White people from the UK and New Zealand.

She also doesn’t specific what percentage are White, but of non-Anglo background – no need to get facts in the way of the implication that Whiteness is the problem.

This is the meat of the article, and the message is simple: companies need to replace the White people on their boards or they are racist. It’s blatant antiwhite propaganda.

Nor does the article mention the obvious reason why corporate boards tend to skew old and White – they choose people with decades of experience, and decades ago the workforce was supermajority White.

But apparently, according to Ziffer and the ABC, Australia’s top 300 companies should just suicide by filling their boards with young women with “lived experience” of drug abuse and crime.

It’s absolutely absurd, and would be funny if it wasn’t an example of our own tax dollars being used to try to brainwash us into accepting being replaced by foreigners in every single way.

Key quote: “But they don’t look anything like modern Australia”

Subtext: White people need to be replaced even more quickly than they already are
