A Middle Eastern man has been charged over the alleged gang rape of a teenage girl in an apartment in western Sydney more than 10 years ago.
NSW Police said on Saturday detectives began an investigation last year after receiving reports a 17-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted on December 8, 2015, in a unit in Parramatta.
Investigators formed Strike Force Dwarda, and on May 18 this year arrested two men at an address in Merrylands.
Both were charged with aggravated sexual assault (the charge for rape in NSW), and are still before the courts.
On Friday police arrested a third man, also 27, at a home in Granville, and took him to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with “aggravated sex assault offender in company with other or others”.
He was refused bail and faced court on Saturday.
