Fed-up Aussies have hit out at a group of African Muslim immigrant public housing residents for whinging that some of their free parking spaces are being taken away.
The residents of a public housing tower on Racecourse Road in Flemington, Melbourne, that is earmarked for redevelopment in 2028, made the complaints to far-left activist Jordan van dem Lamb last week.
Mr van dem Lamb claimed at the beginning of the video that a parking lot had been closed to try to push the residents out, which would result in them “being left with nothing”, and said the residents had also complained about cockroaches and mould.

One Muslim woman in a wheelchair complained that she and other public housing beneficiaries now had “nowhere” to park, and another said many parking spaces had been closed, forcing her drive around looking for parking and then walk to the building.
“I finish every day late for (sic) work, and when I come I can’t find parking … we have rights,” the second woman said.
A third hijab-clad woman said in broken English that she had lived in the building for about 12 years and was “very sad about the parking”.
A young African man, who also spoke English with a thick accent but claimed to be “born and raised here”, complained that authorities were not helping, and said “this area has nothing for us”.
“We are living here for how many years, they don’t want to do anything for us, they want to kick everyone out of this building,” he said.
The video sparked backlash on social media, and even some of Mr van dem Lamb’s left-wing followers objected to the complaints.
“Now don’t attack me. I hate Labor. But these homes are for the most vulnerable and those who don’t work. The second lady was complaining about how it takes her 40 minutes to find a car park each day to get a carpark because she finishes work late each day. Well maybe she shouldn’t be in one of these apartments,” he said.
“So they’ve come to Australia and been in taxpayer-funded housing for over a decade?” asked another.
“Cockroaches and mould is from not keeping their places clean and aired! They want more and more, it’s cheap housing, if they want better housing they will have to pay for it!” another wrote.
“They need to be deported. No benefit to Australia whatsoever” and “mass deportations now”, read other popular comments.
The Victorian government says Melbourne’s aging public housing towers do not meet modern standards, are plagued with structural issues and cannot be renovated, but is giving residents help finding new homes and the “right to return” after new community housing high-rises are built.
