Comedian fired over aboriginal skit after woke doxxing campaign

An Australian comedian has been fired from her job after far-left activists launched a vicious doxxing campaign over a viral video where she pretended to be a fake aboriginal.

Lisa Jane Spencer, who has 60,000 followers on Instagram, regularly satirises woke culture and has previously made videos where she joked about “transitioning” into an Indian woman, and insisting people call her an Indian because she identifies as one.

In her most recent clip which has almost 2 million views she poked fun at White Australians claiming to be indigenous by calling herself Aunty Lisa, saying she “started identifying as a blackfella a few months ago”, doing an aboriginal dance, conducting a smoking ceremony, and pretending to sniff petrol.

But the video was pounced on by the corporate media and far-left celebrities and activists who contacted her workplace, Peninsula Hot Springs in Victoria, which then terminated her employment.

Noticer News has seen multiple posts and comments from far-left anti-Australian activists sharing Ms Spencer’s workplace and calling for her to be fired and harassed.

The day spa then posted on social media: “We want to acknowledge and sincerely recognise the concern and disappointment that has been expressed, particularly by members of First Nations communities, community partners and those who have reached out to us directly.

“We do not support or endorse content that is inconsistent with our values or our commitment to inclusion, respect and cultural safety.”

Peninsula Hot Springs is run by Charles Davidson in partnership with co-owner Bharat Mitra, according to the company’s website, which also features an aboriginal flag and a land acknowledgement.

Ms Spencer hit back in an Instagram story where she said she was “deeply disappointed” in her former workplace.

“They fired me on the spot yesterday morning with no notice, after people publicly and illegally doxxed where I worked,” she wrote.

“The Peninsula Hot Springs say they are inclusive of all people… But this is completely incorrect. They cater more to certain types of people than others. I will be seeking legal advice.

“I imagine if the shoe were on the other foot and I was a ‘left wing’ person making jokes about White people (which I have done).. would they have fired me? ha we all know they wouldn’t have.”

She also told news.com.au: ““I stand by the jokes. This is comedy. I make fun of everyone equally. Plenty of people loved the video. I find the welcome to country offensive.”

Ms Spencer is not the only comedian to joke about White people falsely identifying as aboriginal, with ABC series Black Comedy featuring a skit about a White Australian woman adopting an indigenous identity.

Aboriginal ABC presenter Tony Armstrong also featured a number of skits mocking White people in comedy show Always Was Tonight earlier this year.

Indigenous identity fraud has also been highlighted as a major issue by aboriginal leaders, with some calling for an end to unverified aboriginal self-identification carried out in order to receive preferential treatment from the education and health systems.

In 2024 the South Australia Independent Commission Against Corruption warned that businesses were taking advantage of government policies designed to benefit aboriginals by pretending to be indigenous, labelling the practice “black-cladding”.
