Furious Australians are calling on the government to bring back capital punishment for child sex offenders after sickening allegations against a homosexual Melbourne childcare worker shocked the country.
Police revealed on Tuesday that Joshua Dale Brown, 26, was facing 70 charges for allegedly raping and abusing eight children aged between five months and two years old at Creative Gardens Early Learning Centre, Point Cook, between April 2022 and January 2023.
His charges included sexual penetration of a child under 12, sexual assault, sexual activity in the presence of child, produce child abuse material for use through a carriage service, and possess child abuse material.
The families of another 1,200 children who attended the 20 childcare centres where Brown worked have also been urged by authorities to get them tested for gonorrhoea and chlamydia after the alleged paedophile tested positive following his May 12 arrest.

Another man, Michael Simon Wilson, 36, from Hoppers Crossing, who police allege is known to Brown but who does not work in the childcare industry, has also been charged with child sex offences after allegedly raping a teenage boy in April, and was arrested as part of the same investigation that led police to Brown.
The horrific allegations against Brown, including that he added his bodily fluids to children’s food, sparked outrage around Australia and thousands demanded the death penalty to be reinstated for convicted paedophiles in comments and posts on social media after his charges were revealed.
Recently there have been calls for the death penalty to be reinstated in Australia.

“Death penalty< needs to be reinstated in Australia nationally. Paedophiles do NOT deserve rehabilitation,” wrote popular political commentator Mickamious.
“I don’t understand why the boomers got rid of capital punishment,” wrote another.
NSW Libertarian candidate Elvis Sinosic conducted a poll on Wednesday asking Australians whether capital punishment should be brought back. At the time of writing 85% selected Yes, 10% said No, and 5% were unsure.
Many others argued that males should be banned from working in the childcare industry, and some said the abuse-plagued sector should not exist in the first place.
“Remember how proudly the government offered childcare subsidies to voters during the recent election?” broadcaster and journalist Fred Pawle wrote on X.

Decent politicians would instead offer ways for parents to stay home and care for their own children.

“Homeschooling has never looked so good,” someone replied.
Celine Baumgarten, who recently won a case against Australia’s online censor over a post exposing a “queer club” at a Melbourne primary school, wrote: “Men shouldn’t work in daycare centres. Daycare in and of itself shouldn’t be so normalised. None of this is okay.”
“I would starve before I put my baby in daycare. I would give up, I would sacrifice anything, so long as my child does not go to a daycare,” she said in a video omn the topic.
“Because that’s the thing, you can never be sure. And then stuff like this comes out.”

Brown, who appeared with pink and blue dyed hair in a Facebook photo with his boyfriend during the same time period he worked at the Point Cook centre, had no criminal record and had a valid Working With Children Check. It has since been cancelled.
Police are they were now investigating whether there are more victims as Brown worked at 20 childcare centres around Melbourne between January 2017 and May 2025, and are examining evidence of an allegation at a second centre in Essendon.
The alleged child sex predator appears in a photo at that centre shared on its Facebook page on March 21 for “Harmony Day” with the caption “Today we recognise Australia’s cultural diversity”.
The alleged paedophile first appeared in court in May but a suppression order issued by Magistrate Michael White and applied for by police and the Office of Public Prosecutions meant the case could not be make public at the time.
But as the investigation developed in scale and the need to notify more than 2,600 families as a precaution became apparent, the suppression order was revoked and police announced the charges, and made the unusual decision to release the alleged child rapist’s name.
Crime Command Acting Commander Janet Stevenson described the situation as “unique” and “deeply distressing”.
“It is very important to ensure that every parent out there that has a child in childcare knows who he is and where he worked. It was an unusual decision but it is before the courts and is public knowledge,” she said.
She said the investigation was “proactive” and revealed it was not until after police raided Brown’s home in Point Cook and allegedly seized child abuse material that they identified his alleged victims.
“It was very complex … it wasn’t through someone’s complaint; we didn’t have a victim for quite some time,” she said.
